Shy Jackson is a partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, specialising in project advice and disputes related to UK and international projects. His experience covers litigation, arbitration, adjudication and ADR and he has advised on all main forms of contract, including NEC, JCT and FIDIC. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Arbitrators and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors. Shy regularly speaks and writes about construction law topics and is a Visiting Fellow (Construction Law) at King’s College London and a member of the NEC Contract Board. He has been listed in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, where quotes include “He knows NEC contracts back to front. He is calm, methodical and gets to the right answer.”, as well as being listed as a Thought Leader in the International Construction Who’s Who Legal 2021.
Ian Heaphy, Director at IN Construction Consulting has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, including aviation, oil & gas, rail, water, highways and building. He has worked with clients in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Hong Kong, North America and Australia including government bodies, private sector employers and contractors. Ian specialises in the development of innovative procurement strategies with particular expertise around partnering, alliancing and target cost contracts. Ian is a member of the NEC4 Contract Board has been directly involved in drafting and shaping the fourth generation of NEC contract. In addition to his NEC and procurement work Ian also acts as adjudicator, dispute resolver and quantum Expert Witness.
