Julian Seidel is a geotechnical engineer who specializes in deep foundation engineering. Julian has extensive experience working for general and specialist consultants, for the public sector, for specialist piling contractors and in academia. In 1999, Julian formed Foundation QA, and subsequently Foundation Specialists Group, and has provided specialist advice to large international infrastructure projects, and acted as an expert on range of insurance and arbitration matters, particularly in south-east Asia. Julian has served on national and international technical committees, and continues an active research and publication program with more than 70 listed publications and in excess of 1000 citations.
Hamish Clark is a Principal and Technical Expert at HKA. He has over 35 years of experience as a Chartered Architect specialising in education, commercial, retail and ecclesiastical buildings and conservation work. Hamish has provided expert opinion on architectural matters to clients in the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Oceania in disputes with values in excess of US$200 million. Besides providing expert evidence in the dispute resolution arenas of litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation, Hamish has also been cross-examined as an expert in international arbitration, court proceedings and virtual proceedings for an international arbitration.
Timothy Hill is a Partner in Hogan Lovells' construction and engineering practice, based in Hong Kong. He heads the practice in Asia. He has over 30 years' experience of advising clients on challenges arising from troubled projects, in the civil engineering, building, energy and transportation sectors. Tim has conducted mediations and expert determination processes and has extensive experience of arbitration and litigation. He is a former Chair of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Asia) Branch. He has advised on a number of disputes where technical issues and technical expert evidence have been at the heart of the issues.
