A Talk for Young Members: “Legal Advice on Construction Projects: Employers vs Contractors.”

Join us for an engaging panel discussion featuring lawyers and a barrister who will walk through two fictional case scenarios exploring topical challenges faced by international construction projects, including: - Navigating the impacts of inflation, - Addressing supply chain disruptions and - Adoption of new technologies.

The Society of Construction Law Hong Kong invites members to an evening in-person talk by a panel consisting of:
• Janice Cheng (Partner, Hogan Lovells);
• Marie Devereux (Senior Associate, Vinson & Elkins);
• Kaiser Leung (Barrister, Des Voeux Chambers); and
• Jessica van der Kamp (Senior Associate, Mayer Brown):

will walk through two fictional case scenarios in which international construction projects face topical challenges such as:


• inflation,
• supply chain disruption,
• the adoption of new technologies.


The speakers will explore the legal and practical considerations arising from the projects through the eyes of the employers and contractors respectively.


This event is primarily targeted at Young Members of the SCL and of other professional bodies.
All Members of the SCL (irrespective of age) are however positively welcomed.
